NFL Offseason News

Belmont betting enthusiasts also handicapping the NFL are praying that the lockout ends soon, so that the 2011 – 12 seasons can be saved for fans viewing pleasure. When the lockout does eventually end, one of the biggest questions fans will ask is where disgraced former New York Giant wide receiver Plaxico Burress ends up during free agency. While many of our colleagues believe the former Super Bowl MVP gets a job with a new team, we really wonder if teams will be taking a risk. Here is the latest NFL betting online offseason news.

In a league, where players use the offseason to get into trouble, the NFL has a way of turning misbehaving athletes into model citizens. The NFL, depending on which team you play for, also has a tendency to make misbehaving stars even worse. With Plaxico Burress being released from prison earlier in the week, many fans and experts, we included, believe that Burress needs to find a time with a high discipline threshold, if he hopes to turn his life and career around.

Two teams that come to mind are the Cincinnati Bengals and Philadelphia Eagles, who despite choking in the playoffs annually, have been two model teams for turning disgraced athletes around. Conversely, playing for a team like the Washington Redskins wouldn’t be in Burress best interest, as many of their players have trouble staying out of trouble.

It's no betonline scam, despite already having DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin as their wide receivers, the Philadelphia Eagles would be the best team for Burress to sign with for a couple of reasons. Firstly, Burress can learn from the NFL’s best example of change, Michael Vick, that being good and playing well can go hand in hand. Secondly, and perhaps more importantly, by joining the Eagles, Burress goes to a team that is literally a third wide receiver away from making it to the Super Bowl.
