NFC East Preview

With the NFL betting lockout all but concluded, it is one again time to preview every sports fans favorite division, the NFC East. It seems like year after year, the Philadelphia Eagles, New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys and Washington Redskins, are finding new ways to aggravate their sports betting fan bases. This year as you will see is no different, as once again the team winning this division will likely be eliminated in round one of the playoffs.

Dallas Cowboys – The Dallas Cowboys are considered to be the most frustrating team in America, instead of America’s team. Cowboy’s owner Jerry Jones has invested close to a billion dollars in the Cowboys franchise yet has little to show for it. Expect this year, to be the final one for Tony Romo, as the Cowboys may be forced to go into a full rebuild, if they fail to make the playoffs. Despite the frustration of the fan base, the Cowboys have one of the better teams in the NFC, as it appears it is strictly a question of everyone gelling together.

It's no Bet Online scam, the Cowboys are a 12 to one favorite to win the Super Bowl this year. What remains of this offseason, will be a huge one, in terms of acquiring the help needed to improve the defense. However, fans should note, that in the eight games without Romo last year, the Cowboys averaged a total of 29 points per game. A healthy Romo can only help them.

Philadelphia Eagles – Entering 2010, the Eagles weren’t sure who would replace Donovan McNabb, until Michael Vick stepped in and proved he could still play ball. This year, the question is who will backup Vick, as there is talk that Kevin Kolb wants to be traded. In a random turn of events, talk has emerged over the last few weeks that McNabb may return to backup Vick next season. The Eagles are also quite interested in the services of former Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie. If he signs with the Eagles, we should just give the team the Super Bowl rings for 2012, as he will provide stability to a youthful Eagles defense.
